Quote Unquote Love

When I look around today, I see many of my friends who are engaged. They love each other with all of their being. I am so happy for them! They have filled a void in their lives that most of us have empty. They have that one person who they can relate with and cuddle on the couch. Most of us only dream of that.
To set a perfect example, my friends Cheyenne and Michael are so happy together. They live together and pay bills an go to school! They even have a dog! And as I read the posts they have about their lives, I know that they will make it. They have what slot o relationships lack, and that is love.


Now lets move on to another couple; my bestie Aimee and her fiancé Malachi. They hav been through alot together and have been best friends their whole lives, and Aimee has just found out that Mal is getting deployed soon, and she is devastated. They are so in love that they can't stand to be apart, yet they are every day. As of right now they only see machete once a month, yet they are going strong. I love both of them and I know hey will make it.


And now, my final example are two people I have known my whole life; my momma and dad. I am not really sure why hey are together; as they are two entirely different people. My mother loves the outdoors and traveling, by my dad likes to just sit at home and relax. My mom hates the TV and my pops just loves his SyFi! But in all honestly, they are a perfect balance for each-other! They still do alot of things together, and compromise for each other. They have seen a lot of grief and near divorces, but thy have stuck it out and stayed together, through richer or poorer, in sickness and in health, and I am pretty sure, until death do them part.(although, technically they won't be apart in heaven, as God doesn't split up soul mates!)


I jus hope that someday I find a woman as great as all of these guys have found... I'll be keeping my eye out!

The lives we take for granted.

I am pretty sick about hearing people complain about how their lives are terrible. "My job sucks" " Today sucked" "My phone is broken" the list goes on and on. Well I am here to tell you to suck it up! There are people whose lives are alot less cushy than yours! Every day while you sit in you cubicle or behind computer, and you complain because it sucks, stop and think about the deployed Marines, sailors, airmen, and soldiers. They are away from their families for months at a time. They wish they had a phone, and would kill for even a broken one, as long as it makes calls!

Everyday, numerous military personnel die or go missing, all so you can sit and complain!! Take the life you have and run with it! That is why we fight! To protect all of you an your friends and family so that you have a right to complain and things to complain about.

Think about that next time you have a rough day.

Blah....

So, being a Marine is has wen way beyond my expectations. I am at my first duty staton, and it is fantastic! I never thought that it would be this great. Working in military justice is something that I love. The work hours may be a little rough, but I thoroughly enjoy it. Even if I have to see some pretty disturbing things, I have also learned what not to do as a Marine.

On a less happy note, I miss my family and friends. I am really wanting to go back home soon to visit, and I hope that happens soon. :(

Back to the chipper side, I have made alot of good friends. Training at legal school was a good bonding experience for my fellow Marines and I. Throgh all of the extra field days, the wake up calls in the morning, and the cold as he'll marching across base to the school house, we stuck together like glue, well glue is what stuck us together, not what we were like.

Also, I have met his AMAZING girl. She is what brightens my days when I am down. I cannot wait to get back to my room just so I can talk to her. I have a feeling that she may be the one, although she doesn't see how fantastic she is. That is one thing that I don't understand about women, they are so self conscious. Why can't they just agree with men when they say that they are awesome? C'mon ladies! Geeze
